While waiting for the slopes to open, here is a selection of mountain experiences to add to your do-to list during your next stay at Hotel Le Coucou Méribel.
Dog sledging ride
An invigorating experience that will make you travel back in time and discover the most beautiful landscapes of Meribel. Comfortably installed in the sleigh, let yourself be driven and admire the snowy summits and forests. If you wish, you can also become a musher during the ride and lead the carriage for an enchanted and unforgettable ride.
Initially dedicated to driving goods and mail in the Nordic countries, the dog sleds now carry young and old for the greatest happiness of families.
Before ski lifts, ski joëring was an actual means of transportation and allowed everyone to reach the top of the slopes before being able to ski down them. Today, it has become a great alternative to sled dogs and allows you to experience new sliding sensations.
Towed by a horse, on your skis, you will glide quietly at the rhythm of the horse (at a walk or a small trot) and enjoy the ride without effort!
This experience is accessible to everyone from a first star level, so why not try it?
Building an igloo
An initiation that will allow you to understand the different steps to follow so that your igloo doesn't collapse! Accompanied by high mountain guides, you will cut out snow blocks and see your home rise as you stack them one on top of the other.
An experience to share with your family to build the most beautiful igloo!
