A New Year's Eve to remember
Here, New Year's Eve is as much about magic as it is about eating delicious food, thanks to our three restaurants. While each has its own atmosphere, they all share the same quest for excellence, both in the food and in service.
A gourmet New Year's Eve
This unique dinner is orchestrated by the Executive Chef of Crillon le Brave, Adrien Brunet, in collaboration with our Chef Ayoub Hadir.
To avoid disappointment on the day, make sure you reserve a place beforehand and throughout the evening, there will be surprises to celebrate New Year’s Eve in style. At the stroke of midnight, there will be music and magicians to surprise all ages accompanied by confetti and hats to celebrate New Year in the most festive way possible.
Restaurants to awaken the taste buds of our guests during the holidays
The very first Beefbar restaurant located in the mountains offers exceptional meats for lunch and dinner, as well as a selection of dishes perfect for the mountains. Inside, the wall sculptures of cuckoo clocks have been designed by the artist Eric Croes, the chairs represent the Savoyard models, and the frosted glass suspensions are a nod to ice droplets.
Outside there is a spacious terrace which is directly accessible from the slopes. Guests can enjoy a delightful lunch with an impressive view of the valley whilst soaking up the atmosphere. Aficionados can find the great Beefbar classics, such as Wagyu beef from Australia and Kobe beef from Japan, as well as unmissable comfort food recipes to share... or not! (Including pot-au-feu, shepherd's pie or the Mont d'Or fondue...). The perfect place to celebrate 31st December in style.
On the sixth floor of the hotel at the Biancaneve restaurant, you can enjoy the best of Italian cuisine with interiors designed by Pierre Yovanovitch. Indulge in Trattoria-style Italian cuisine where you can find the essentials of the boot: Vitello tonnato, stracciatel and made-to-measure pizzas, etc. Followed by fresh homemade pasta served as primi piatti. Lovers of Italian cuisine can also enjoy some of the other dishes available including fish and meat, flambé pasta, risotto in the parmesan wheel as well as many other convivial dishes to share such as the bouillabaisse or the perfect veal escalope Milanese style. Finally, the dessert menu offers classics such as Tiramisu and Montecato signature gelato.
Perched on the 8th floor of Le Coucou, Le Fumoir welcomes cheese lovers to sit around the fireplace to enjoy the friendly and cosy atmosphere. Visitors will enjoy the Savoyard specialties, as copious as they are refined, Le Fumior gives pride of place to local products.
Unforgettable mountain experiences to celebrate the New Year
Alpine skiing, off-piste skiing, ski touring and snowboarding are all available for the thrill-seekers in Méribel during the holidays.
Alpine skiing is the largest in the world with 330 runs and 155 lifts. The most daring can test themselves on the Roc de Fer slope where the 2023 World Championships will be held.
For the less confident skiers why not discover snowshoeing or horse riding, an opportunity to enjoy the silence and beauty of the mountains away from the crowds. For those wanting to try snowshoeing, an instructor will guide you to the best locations and the well-hidden secrets of Meribel.
On New Year's Eve, you have just skied your last runs of the year and you have made your last turns in the snow. It's 5pm with a glass of mulled wine in your hand and you join the crowd to see a magnificent torchlight descent animated by the resort's instructors. This is only the beginning of a wonderful New Year's Eve in the mountains with Le Coucou Méribel!
After the traditional torchlight descent and the fireworks, wine and hot chocolate await you on the Chaudanne snow front. Afterwards, why not continue the evening on the giant dancefloor installed at the Olympic ice rink.
